Rust Electricity Planner 3D
How the Rust base builder works
Build like in Rust
Start with a foundation anywhere on the ground. After that every piece snaps like the building plan in game: foundations and triangles join edge to edge, walls stand on edges or on walls below, floors rest on walls or hang off other floors, and doors, bars, embrasures and hatches go into their doorway, window or frame. Every deployable in the game (boxes, furnaces, workbenches, turrets, traps, lights, high walls and hundreds more) goes anywhere on a floor, foundation, the ground, a wall or a ceiling, wherever it fits like in game, and falls if its floor goes. Press O for the radius view: turret ranges, heat and comfort, workbench areas and each item's footprint.
Soft side and stability
A wall's soft side (the braced side) faces you when you place it, as in the game, so build outer walls from inside. Press R to flip it. Stability uses the game's own support values: walls hold 70% of what they stand on, floor edges 25% each, so overhangs weaken fast and anything under 5% falls.
Cost, upkeep and raids
Build cost counts every piece at its grade. Upkeep uses the game's brackets (10% of the cost per day for the first 15 blocks, up to 33% past 190), the flat 20% for high external walls and the September 2026 group tax. Aim at any piece to see how many C4, rockets, satchels or explosive rounds it takes, and the sulfur. The 3D models are Facepunch's own, from the library they publish for previews and layout tools, so everything is true to size.
